I remember awhile back doing a little research and most people said Photoshop 7 I believe was the best and easiest to use??? There is so many versions what one do you use and if you don't use Photoshop what editing software do you use????

Right now CS3 but looking to buy newer.

Let me ask this also what are the differences??? If I'm gonna fork out the cash I want something good but something that is user friendly also....

I like my elements 9,I also have Cs5,which is to complicated for me to use.Elements 9 is the best.

Elements would do everything that you would need. The CS series has a lot more than just photoshop that you are buying, and they are very expensive programs to buy just to casually edit your own pictures.

I used to use PS7, mostly because I was able to borrow my roomates copy (it doesn't have digital media rights on it.) Now I use the olympus software that comes with the camera I use- as far as features, the main thing I like is that I can work on pictures in bulk for applying things like the noise filter and max pixel size and so on

elements 9 is what I used to make my avatar,it is easy and does basically everything you need for editing photos

ill check into that sounds like something i would want... i just want simple!!!! simple photo editing and thats it not all the other crap that comes with it...

I guess I'm not as fancy as you guys but I don't use anything. I just point and shoot with my cheapie camera, copy and paste, lol.

same here bud... Except I have a expesive camera and expensive lens... I can't figure out the settings for the
Life of me so I wanna shoot raw and try to Figure it out on the pc... I know it's gonna be really hard when my LEDs get put on in the next week or 2..

I dont even shoot in RAW,even thought EVERY ONE says it makes life so easy,I cant do it on my PC at all.

If you're looking for simple Elements in the way to go. But if you're looking to shot in RAW, I believe you have to download some additional software for the camera once you have the photoshop.

i have lightroom 3 - just got it last week. Pretty easy to use after you mess with it for a couple hours on your own. Easy to clean up high ISO noise and fix white balance. Its just a photo re-touching tool - NOT editor like photoshop. I would recommend LR3

yea lightroom is really easy to use and is great for cropping pictures. Post editiong software. ITs like a really easy scaled down version of photoshop.
