Just tested
Phosphate - 3.0 ppm
MG - 1270
CA - 450
ALK - 10.7 DKH
Nitrate - 50 ppm

If you want to bring 3 ppm phosphate down , you will need something more effective on phosphate than binding organics. Something like Phosguard or GFO. Whatever you pick, start slowly so you do not overshoot.

What is a good level for phosphate?

Well, IMO, 0.03 ppm is good. Higher can, but doesn't necessarily, contribute to algae issues. I think a range fro 0.02 ppm to 0.1 ppm is fine for most tanks. Too low is worse than too high.
