So I'm getting ready to go buy a holesaw to try and successfully cut my tank I have built into the wall and I'm thinking bean animal for drain my question is do I go with 1" or 1/4" bulkheads and pvc? The tank is 150 gallons and the drain will be on one end of the tank I was thinking 1 and 1/4 would probly be what I need any input helps

That is probably plenty but just incase, what flow rate are you planning on having? Also since you are drilling it, do yourself a favor and go ahead and drill for an emergency overflow drain so you can put a gate valve on safely. You need to plumb both with 1" PVC

If it's just the one drain I would go with the larger size personally. If you had two drains, the smaller size would be fine but a bigger drain means more options in terms of flow. If you have a smaller single drain you limit the flow honestly. I'll also add I am not familiar with bean animal drains so maybe I am wrong here!

What"s the difference between that and the Eclipse? I have the Eclipse on a couple peninsula tanks and it looks like camera magic on their webpage.

Bean animal has 2 drains and a emergency and I'm planning on the 3 holes on the bottom of the tank so maybe 1inc pvc is fine with the 2 drains?

That is of course the upper end of the recommended but necessary if you plan on SPS style tank. You need to have two 1" primary drains and one 1" emergency. Even 1,200GPH doing down a single pipe gravity fed is going to be an issue.... You need 2.
Generally, the accepted flow rate, gravity fed through 1" PVC is 600GPH

So the bean animal having 2 drains and a emergency I should be fine at 1" then ? Or better to go with 1.25?

Two one inc drains would only be 1200gph then I would need to go with 1.25 to get the 1500+

I built my bean animal overflow with 1.5" drains running a 3000 gph return pump. With the head pressure and plumbing losses, it's no where near the rated 3000 gph. My gate valve on the full siphon line is more than half way closed. I can close 2 of the drains and the emergency drain easily handles the flow. If I did it again, I would used 1" drains because they take up less space and cost less.

You need a 1 3/4" hole saw for 1" bulkheads.

1" is fine. I have a bean animal style overflow on my 240 and I use 1", and it handles all I need.
On a 150 gallon tank you really don't need anymore than 700-900 gph through the sump.

this is supposed to be tighter to the glass, but it does look very close to the same.

Thanks lol I was noticing this well I'm at lowes I'm looking at it like no way 1inc holes going to be big enough

Make sure you buy a hole saw designed for glass/ceramic. Bimetal hole saws for wood/metal will work on an acrylic tank but will destroy a glass tank. If it were me, I would go 1 1/4" for the drains ….. you can always valve them back. Maybe even 1 1/2" for the emergency.
