What type of Clown?

I’ve got a single Clown and would like to add another. Can anyone provide some insight on if this is a Percula or Ocellaris? It’s so hard to count the dorsal spines. I think it’s 10.

Thanks. This one has been alone for over a year. Think I’m better off getting one that’s a fair size smaller? I’m sure it’s going to be hit or miss.

A smaller would be the safer bet. How big is this one? I have a pair that I had to seperate about a year ago, but would be willing to bet the male is still male. IF they get along, the more established will probably turn female if it hasn't already.

Probably to small to be female at this point .But that's no guarantee. Are you adding another percula?
I still think that the established fish will become female at some point sooner than later. But... Clownfish are weird.

Should be fine. Looking at the pic, that may be exactly what your original fish is. A. Ocellaris and A. Percula are very closely related and usually tolerate each other just fine.
Wild caught fish can really only be differentiated by the thickness of the black band surrounding the white stripe.

The pic is a little blue and a little dark, but the eyes look like occ to me.

As mentioned, the two species are similar and can even pair up.
