Transferring to a larger rimless tank that is fairly wide and deep (front to back). I plan on getting a blue stripe pipefish or two once everything settles in, but I am concerned about keeping everybody in the tank since it is fairly shallow.

What are people using as tank covers that will keep smaller pipefish from jumping?
I suspect the 1/8" meshennetting from BRS, or similar, probably won't work for these fish.

I think 1/8" netting would work for them, they're small but not that small, and they aren't really big jumpers anyway.

Even in shallow tanks?
That is good to know.

I thought I recalled people having issues with pipefish finding the smallest of gaps and making their way out of the aquarium.

I may be thinking more of pencil fish. Similar body shape a a bit more skittish, also fresh water.
