I am in the market for a Calcium reactor! There a few brands that REALLY stick out and I have narrowed it down to these 3 Mfg's. Here some pictures of the reactors as well. Would like to hear some of your thoughts on these reactors below or the one you have running your reef system? All my tank info is below:

1. Vertex - VRX-C 6D / Rated for systems up to 264 gallons
2. My Reef Creations - CR-1
3 Geo Cal Reactor - CR624 / Rated for up to 200 - 400 gallon systems

I run a geo 618 on a 300. It works fine. I also feed it via a masterflex pump and use a decent low flow needle valve for co2 control. Those two things, imho, are at least as important as the reactor itself for stability. W the stock equipment, I could not keep the drip rate constant for the life of me. Attached is my rxph graph over a few days. I'm surprised it is jumping around this much as usually it fluctuates between .02 ph without kicking in the solenoid due to proper flow

I have a vertex c-6d. On my 150 gallon cube. It is one of the best that I have used in a small application. The geo reactors are one of the best in my opinion for large applications. The vertex I think looks better if you sump is going to be on display. I also like how there is build in line management.

It's definitely worth the money they work very well. Pair it with the carbon doser regulator and your set.

I think those are top down flow which isn't optimal. They do work. Again, any reasonable reactor will work with a good feedpump (like a masterflex or similar) and a decent co2 control valve. Without those two, many have tried and had issues w control

Thank you so much for the input. So many choices out there- it is easy to make the wrong choice.
