My one torch has had one side not completely extended for several days. Haven't moved it, changed lighting etc. Other Euphyllia looking okay. Have checked the underneath with flashlight for receding or brown jelly , don't see anything.
Photo of closed side (pic 2), straight on & general Euphyllia area. Temp & saltility good. Haven't been able to check other parms because I broke my wrist & can't use my hand.

Do you have peppermint shrimp in tank?

Just brainstorming a non-water idea... given lack of water parameter info

I do have one, never seen it go up there though.
Last water check everything was in good/acceptable range-tank is been going 5 years or more so not a new tank. And not a new coral.

While *everything* was ruled out so I've got a mail order water test enroute, BF *finally* in the dark after hours last night caught one of our peppermints in the act of moving from one decimated hammer to one not yet eaten. He'd been swearing up until this morning they were only eating dead tissue because of something else... that something else now proven to be peppermint shrimp... His mission is use my fish trap to try and move our 3 peppermints out of DT into sump or QT as I'm flying back East for family.

Only mentioning peppermints because I've been saying the peppermints were going to make their way from our hammer garden (4 down, 2 remaining), thru our other corals in euphyllia family... and turned out I was right... so if you rule out everything else... think outside box... or, in the box/tank <wink>
