Anyone know what this is on the side of my acan?
 
Yep. Tube worm. They're harmless and are actually good for water purity. They're filter feeders.
 
Ya i tried it is just too tiny atm to really see a tube, but it reminded me of a barnacle how they would pop in and out
 
Pest anemone, Majano
Not a majano at all. Not need to remove it. They are just filter feeding tube worms. A more simple version of feather dusters. They will multiply in low light protected areas of tank and sump. Many types of wrasses and other fish eat them. They are harmless.
