Yep, that's how my grandmom said warsh.

Fish Stew not so sure about but I love most things seafood. Chowder (or Chowda as them east coasters call it) is delicious!

Essentially the stew was a chowder … same ingredients . But my grandma used to use cod fish ( east coast Canadians … )

chowder was made with tons or seafood mostly clams

I always thought this was an east coast Canada slang .

My grandmother who did say all these things was from Erie, PA and Cleveland, OH.
My other grandmother was from Quebec

Gaspe coast which is what I always called the Newfie coast of Quebec
