I wouldn't say they're my favorites but I still have Brown Finger (Sinularia sp) from '94 or '95. Palau Green Finger (Sinularia foliata, wasn't described until 2008 and mine was identified by Micheal P Jaines in 2011) from '97. Orange and Green Zoas, '98. Purple, Red and Green Watermelon Discsoma spp mushrooms from '94 - '95. Frogspawn from ~'98.- '99. Yellow Rock Polyps from '97. GSP from '97, curiously I've noticed older parts of GSP colonies start to fade and die off after roughly 8 -10 years, research I've recently read indicates we have several life expectancies to deal with regarding corals, there's the Genet age (I find it easiest to think of it as "genotype") which can be hundreds or thousands of years old, Renet age or colony age which can be much much younger and can have a maximum limit much younger than the Genet age, and the polyp age which may be significantly less than the Ramet age. Of course all this is psecies specifc to add to the complexety. For more info go to scholor.google.com and use the terms scenescence, genet ranet and cnidarian or scleractinian

My favorite corals are ricordea Florida, one of the first ones I ever bought was a sort of dull highlighter yellow I never seen before or since. It along with all my other ricordea I had at the time were eaten one by one by a big white crab. Took me a while to figure out what was happening. The crab was living in a hole in the rock, he came out after lights out and would drag frags back to his lair to devour them.

One of mine or should I say two started out one and smaller than a dime

Not sure if this is what the coral is but it looks like one I’ve had my eye on. If you look at the picture of the big tank below you can see how yellow it is.

It’s really hard to tell from pictures if it is the same vibrant yellow. The coral is still a cool addition. Fun to grow, as long as it’s needs are met it will flourish . Thanks, keep um coming

My favorite right now would have to be my Matt V psycho asylum. Getting it’s color back after some unfortunate circumstances

My purple plate coral with hot pink streaks had him for a while until my tank crashed and I lost him to stress
