What's this on my sand bed?

I have had the tank up and running for about three years. I have had normal diatoms blooms before but this is like a red slime that covers areas on the sand bed. Water changes don't help. I ordered a protein skimmer and a bottle of vibrant to see if that helps but any information would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers,

Looks like cyano possibly, what are your parameters? I would be careful with the vibrant.

That’s Cyanobacteria. I don’t think vibrant does anything to it, but chemiclean does.
