Whats this zoa looking thing?

I have these all over my tank on the live rocks, they look like zoas imo and they have tentacles

Additionally does anyone know what this is on my zoa frag?

Im sorry its a bad picture i cant get a good on right now but it does not look like a zoa polyp

Hmm whats bad about them? ps i saw a spider 99% sure its a zoa spide, freakig out im going to lfs tomorrow and a melanarus wrasse was on my list and upon research it says they eat spiders, anything else i should do?

Your last picture looks like it has a zoa spider in it.

I dont think cause it looks more like a plant/coral thing (i know corals arent plants but i dunno the term) it kinda looks like a polyp or head of something, ill try for a better pic later

I see hydroids. I have those same ones in my softie tank. They will spread very slowly, but they will spread.

I lowered my water and I used my power drill to drill into the rock where they were. It created a huge mess, it was crazy, and they still grew back. I tried putting glue on them and they still grew back. The tubes are rubbery so you can’t break them, and can’t pull them out. They root deep into the rock.

Depending where it is, the best solution is to completely break off that piece of the rock.

Uh oh. That sucks man, I’m sorry. To me that’s a big problem and I don’t know how to solve it. I’m struggling to contain my one small colony. Good luck.

They dont seem to be an issue should i still try to contain? any chemicals?

These are not hydroids, zoo or majano or anemone but rather Hidden Cup Coral - Phyllangia americana. These are harmless and pick light spectrums well.

Did the live rock happen to come from Florida? If it looks like it has a skeleton it could be cup coral, tube coral, or oculina robusta.

Yea its tampa bay saltwater rock, but ive got orange tubes on there aswell i dont know about skeleton though on either
