For those who use Salifert kits

I always get this air bubble when drawing up the reagent. This picture is after I have finished mixing the solutions. Is my reading 0.3ml or is it the amount of liquid left in the syringe?
It confuses me with such a big air bubble.

This second picture is of when i draw up the reagent. There is always this air bubble.

I think the instructions mention it. You could expell the air and redraw the solution but you'll still get the same result.

Yeah this, it says it in the instructions, say particularly not to try to remove it and that its there on purpose

Correct

It’s normal to have the bubble. You’re essentially measuring how far the plunger travels, not how much liquid is left in the syringe. So don’t worry about the bubble. Just make sure the syringe is completely submerged when you draw up the reagent.

FWIW, many syringes will never have any fluid in the barrel, keeping it all in the tip. Just air in the barrel. That keeps the barrel clean and the tips are discarded.
