What's with my toadstool

I have this toadstool that has yellow areas without polyps. Will this heal? Can it get worse?

It just looks like it is not expressing PE in those areas. I wouldn't be immediately worried, I'd watch what happens, make sure your parameters are good and keep going. Toadstools are notoriously temperamental but incredibly hardy.
