Suggestion: When commenting negatively on any site (Facebook, Instagram, etc.) that is promoting irresponsible saltwater fish-keeping, perhaps we could also include a link to a site or sites that promotes protection of coral reefs (and good vibes for all the Dories in the wild)? I personally have been looking for a good place to donate to help preserve coral reefs but it is a bit hard to tell which organizations are most worthy. Any thoughts on "Coral Reef Alliance"? It looks pretty objective and worthy.
Voicing objection to something that is wrong is a good thing but turning that objection into something that actually helps coral reefs would be really awesome!

Myself send them so now and then a donation and as of now it will be match by seachem for the full amount up to 10K.

They had a rating of 3.8. Now it's 1.9 and falling.....

their review rating on FB plummeted like no other, from like 4.0 to 2.1 extremely fast.

Lol i told them if they keep this up on social media, people will keep posting on this for everyone including customers to see untill they take it down. Either that or include larger tanks and a research guide.

You have made an excellent choice. We've had Ken Nedimyer come up to talk at out local club twice....and have made considerable donations towards his efforts to restore the reefs. This group has made great strides in coral farming techniques for transplanting these corals to reestablish new reefs. Great organization.....and great place for your local dive clubs to visit and help out at the farm.

just sad when even the big box stores are posting up notes regarding blue tangs and nemos. you would think the small shops like these would take things a step further and be even more ethical with livestock

Its like they never told a customer before to buy a larger tank(to make more money) for tangs and or larger fish. The part that kindoff ticked me off was they said the fish wont be there for more then a year!!!! Are they nuts?!?!

The part that totally confused me here is that they say "the fish won't be there for more than a year"...so, they can control how people keep fish? Yeah I as completely confused by what they were trying to say there.

Anyways, FB post was killed off too. Between my post 2 hours ago and now, 1-star reviews went from 40 to 80. One of my favorite reviews so far was to get the empty 30g then go to Build-a-bear and get a stuffed Dory and put it in the tank.

probably a bad sales tact... "here buy this and get the fish free all cost XXXX amount of $ and just upgrade later" (this way get gets more money from a second tank purchase.)
who knows. sad sad stuff :(
