So I just learned they molt like shrimp do. I see a body laying on the sand and thought oh no, one of my crabs is a goner. Did a quick count and I see all 6 still moving. How did I get an extra crab I thought? Then I learned they molt lol. Silly me, anyways what do you do with the molt? Do you just leave them in the tank, or do you clean them out? Will they hurt anything just leaving it be?

Should be fine leaving it there, the crabs and other detrivores will eat the molt, it does no harm.

It will gradually disintegrate. No harm done leaving it in there.
