where do you get your 2part dosing mixs from?

Getting rid of the calcium reactor and getting a marine color doser. Reactor cant keep up with my tank and the pockets only allow this upgrade. Just wondering where everyone orders their 2 parts from. Cal and alk (tho I might just use baking soda ash for alk) whos got the good deals? Whats a good product to use? I dose with seachem at the moment to help the reactor keep up. Thanks all.

I get mine from Bulk Reef Supply. Alk, Calcium, and Magnesium.

I get my 2 or actually 3 part mixes from www.bulkreefsupply.com. I can't believe a calcium reactor will not keep up with it though, I would never ever go back to dosing after having a Geo reactor. I keep the 3 part, calcium, alkalinity, magnesium, around though for my nano and use the magnesium only on the 100G. Are you sure the reactor is dialed in?

Its more just a point of sale and I dont trust it on the system. I need a better one but that upgrade runs me 4-5 times the pump and just unforseeable at the moment and something has to be done:( the reactor is inconsistant constantly on the water it takes in making the proper effluient? flow consistantancy impossible. Leaving my #'s all over the board and even combined with manuel dosing always lower than I would like. Maybe I should just work with it more but its been months and just fed up I guess. And I have lost sooooo many pieces thru the process-all my favorites...of course.lol

Think I should get the prepackaged 3part kit since its the 1st attempt? Or do you guys find it better to go bulk individually by product?

I go the premeasured kit from BRS for my first and second gals of 2-part. Then I just purchased the gal jugs. This time though Im gonna go with the DIY stuff and give that I try. Prestone driveway Heat and A&H Baking soda. I will still get the mag mix at BRS though.

I make my own using Randy’s recipe:

Alk: 2 ¼ cups baking soda cooked at 300 degrees for an hour and dissolve up to one gallon with RO/DI water.

Calc: 2 cups of Preston Driveway Heat dissolved up to one gallon in RO/DI water.


Using hand waving statistics, it cost me less than five to six dollars a year to dose my 90 gallon tank.
