Setting up my first pair of these. The mount set pieces includes a little felt rectangle with a hole. I’m assuming this is to go between the bracket arm and the “X” shaped piece? Is there any specific direction it should attach?

Ok. I don’t know how much this will help but I bought a couple of the K7’s and a couple of the X brackets. I did not buy the bracket arm and I did not get the felt piece. So the felt piece must be bracket arm specific.
If I was guessing, I would say put the felt piece between the X bracket and the arm. Maybe it cuts down on vibrations from the fan?

I think it’s for .1 on the photo. I have k7 and I’m sure it’s to keep the metal from your glass

You put it between the back glass and the bracket clamp.

For non-slip. Mounted on top of the X fixtures
