How long is your tank running and what kind of corals you already have SPS, LPS, softies?
What kind of lighting is over your tank.

Based on this post I think you are pretty well stocked for a 6 month old tank (looks good!). I think your money would be better spent on equipment to keep your levels stable. Get your dosing equipment up and running for a few months, you'll be surprised at how your growth will increase requiring constant adjustment of your dosing amounts. Go slow....

  1. Thanks all for the warm welcome. Here's abit about my tank also gonna post a few more pics Right than as I said above its a Red Sea 350 the lights a v2 ilumenair 1200. 4 newa wave 2.7 powerheads but I'm changing them for jecod propeller pumps rw8 ....just got one today so I'll post a pic of it in a min . In the sump I've got a deltec sc1351 skimmer which I like a lot A blue marine reactor mini 80 which has np bacto pellets Bio aquatek g400 reactor which has marine bio pearls in it V2 vecton 400 ultraviolet water steriliser with a small eheim pump Large eheim pump returning the water to the dt Some cheato and a sack of carbon And Aquaray led light

So you think I should hold back on more
Iv a pump for my alk and I'm gonna get a double pump for my cal and mag
I test every 2 days for mag alk cal
Iv got my levels stable at the min but I do understand they will change as things grow also my tank was a change over from my 200 litre that was running for a year and a hafe , do I count that with the 6 months that the new one has been running ... I used all the old water and rocks and seeded the new live sand with sand from the old system

Why I got yous in the thread , iv had a problem with a lobo
Looks like it's showing skeleton
It sit next to a chalice , iv seen the chalice put out its feeders at night which are not that long ,everything else in the tank is in good health so it's nothing to do with water
I change my flow a few days ago , also I'm having trouble keeping a stable temp, iv 2 heaters in my sump one over powered and one that's just under powered for my size tank
Woke up this morning and temp is sitting at 25.7c yesterday in the day it's a 26.8 , should I go get another over powered heater a replace the smaller on
Any help on this would be great as it's messing with my head .....OCD lol

Get those pumps dialed in. I wouldn't worry about the temp. fluctuation, it'll make your corals a little hardier. I have a similiar swing in my 90gal. sps tank, but I run 3 undersized heaters. 2 in the sump and one in the display tank. That lobo could very well have been stung by the chalice, 2-3" sweepers are common.

Thanks ksc
Think I might try and get the other pump today ... raid the piggy bank lol .
I'll also move the lobo , do you think it can recover or has it had it ?
There's a few other corals around it
Maybe I just move the chalice

Thanks for your help ksc

If you think you want more sps, I'd be moving a lot of those corals around. I'd put most of those lps on the sand where they can sting each other, and not the prized sps frag. I'd lose the gsp too.

Dang you got a lot of corals
@ksc might be right to concentrate on your equipment and parameters, to get that stable.

You mentioned that you test CAL and MAG every other day and ALK is good.
Can you show us some test results?
ALK
CAL
MAG
Po4
No3
PH

That chalice looks like a JF hels eye and is one of the most aggressive chalice with the long sweepers, also one of the fasted growers around.
Either move that chalice or your lobo as you can see it shows skeleton only at the chalice side.
