Setting up a new 60x36x25h tank with a coast to coast overflow along rear of tank. I have some sps frags, and chalice mixed reef. Will have a sand bed, not sure depth as I'm still in the process of transferring everything from my old 6' tank.

Which gyre would you recommend and can I use 1 or need 2?

I am hoping to do a rock setup in some kind of "C" type shape going left to right.

Of course I have room for 1 more fish!

I started with 1 xf250 gyre on my RSR525xl.

59” x 23” x 22”.

It had no problem moving water from one end to the other, and back at 50-60%.

A few weeks ago I added a second unit as I wanted to slow things down a bit. I run the OTC PROGRAM AT 50% and I have awesome, opposing flow. Everything got a little happier and I think it’s easier for the fish to swim around as well.

I'd recommend two but of course temporarily you can get away with one. I have a 72x36 and can clearly see where each 250 only pushes around 3-4ft. I have a heavily stocked tank and keep two 250's and two mp40's running just a tad above 50% at all times.
