Having already a bigger reef tank, coral frag tank etc. I am looking into getting a nice Nano for our family room.
I am definitely looking to get a rimless tank and kinda stylish as I want to have it in our family room.

I am not planning on putting corals in there. Just some sand, LR and maybe just some RBTA with a nice pair of clowns and /or maybe a pair of Harlequin shrimp.

I know we all have our preferences when it comes to the optics but I would like to know about good and bad experiences you had with the choices I am considering.
Thanks for any input
Michael

ELOS Mini (20 gallon)
High price tag but looks really good IMO.
  • ELOS MINI pool with ELOS overflow and front pane in crystal clear glass (17â€x17â€x16†approx. 20 US gallons)
  • ELOS SQUARE (17â€x17â€x35.5") ELOS SUMP 100 with built in top off reservoir (top off controller not included)
  • ELOS NS100 skimmer with Eheim compact 100 pump. Eheim compact 1000 pump and all plumbing included.

Current USA Solana (34 gallon)
I had a Red Sea Max years ago and had really bad issues with micro bubbles getting into the tank. Don't know if that issue has been solved completely. Also I will probably have to upgrade the stock skimmer.

Deep Sea Aquatics NEO (34 gallon)
Kinda neat and decorative with the little waterfall as a return. Not very deep and probably great for top down view.
  • 24.5" x 24.5" x 14"
  • Dual 3" x 3" overflow boxes
  • 2 1" bulkhead drains
  • “Cascade" return system

CAD CUBE ARTISIAN SERIES (50 gallon)
This one looks really nice IMO and a cube that holds 50 gallon is pretty nice
  • TANK DIMENSIONS: (L)24" x (W)24" x (H)20".
  • 10MM thick 3 sides Starfire glass (front and 2 sides) with furniture style mitered edges. *Cadlights Pro Cell-Cast Acrylic 12G refugium sump (does not include refugium substrate).
  • 1000GPH utility pump MAX @9ft. Head
  • Laser-cut cast acrylic reef ready overflow box with Modified Durso drain and Loc-Line plumbing kit.
  • Black adhesive Vinyl background
  • 75G Custom Bubble-Magus pin-wheel protein skimmer

This a pic without the original stand. I wouldn't get those lights either.

Cadlights. I don't like the shallow look of the neo. With the cad you can do a sweet! nem tank.

And you know you'll want to put corals in it :)

I don't like the Solana because of the bulky center overflow which makes the tank seem really tall and not very deep.

I also say go with Cadlights. It has a very nice modern but simplistic look to it. The Elos is pretty sweet but when I saw in person the only thing I didn't like was the stand. It just looks like a plain, white stand.
