I'm in the planning stages of a 60x18, 120g marineland build. Tank, sump, rock, RODI are all ordered and on their way and I'm getting hung up on which return pump to use. I'm shooting for about 1000 gph with 5' of head. Thanks in advance.

Options:
1. Add a second Sicce Syncra Silent 3.0 (hesitant due to how loud it is)
2. Sicce Syncra SDC 6.0 WIFI (hesitant due to no reviews)
3. RO Varios-6.
4. Neptune COR-20
5. Any better options.

Better might cost :)

If cost is no bar, Red Dragon Speedy 100 and Abyzz 200 are up there in the list .

Honestly I would add a second pump which will provide a lot of redundancy .

Regards,
Abhishek

My syncra 3.0 is very quiet as well. There is something wrong with yours if you can hear it inside the stand with the doors closed.

syncra 3.0 on my 120g, very quiet, as long as the return line does not touch anything.

It's a solid pump.

I still prefer ac pumps for returns, and I shoot for about 5x turnover on a return.

I also like to keep watts down if I can, watts equal heat.
