Hi-
I'm going to be starting my first reef aquarium soon and through a lot of research, I have narrowed it down to two systems.
1. Innovative Marine Nuvo Fusion 40 and APS stand with:
  • tunze doc 9004 comline skimmer dc
  • 2 Sicce Voyager Nano Stream pumps (530 gph each)
  • Sicce Silent Syncra 2.0 pump (568 gph)
  • AI hydra 26 lighting
  • Innovative Marine Midsize Media Reactor
  • Tunze Osmolator Auto Top Off
  • Cobalt Neotherm Heater
2. Red Sea Max E170 with:
  • 2 Sicce Voyager Nano Stream pumps (530 gph each)
  • Cobalt Neotherm Heater
  • Media reactor of some kind if it doesnt come with one (or if its recommended to put one)
These 2 systems come to about the same price tag and I've gotten varying recommendations from the 3 or 4 local fish stores I've visited. It seems like all this equipment is advisable. I understand the Red Sea comes with everything together but I would sort of like to be able to futz around with the equipment and choose my own gear. I would like to know the differences in terms of product quality, ease of use, setup complexity, amount of management needed, maximum bioload and everyone's overall experience with either of these systems.

Thanks

I'd go with the inovative marine because nuvo 40s are awsome and ai 26s are a really good light
