Now a chocolate is different than a powder brown correct?
Chocolate is different !
IMO they are not the prettiest fish as juv . But once they change to adult colour they are very pretty fish .
I believe mimic tang is another name for them

Sadly you have one of the most aggressive of all in your system to start with .
adding anything could be a challenge
I was lucky that the purple was with two yellows. I added a small sailfin after them and it worked out well. Now someone else's situation... Who knows!

He is small still yet at 4” maybe. In fact he is the foxface’s shadow and follows him around everywhere and they sleep together. The two spot seems to be boss for now.

Also.. everything is still in the 65 gallon. I was hoping to add whatever tang at the same time to the new tank but we will see how that plays out

Yes often called a mimic tang. Powder brown is similar to achilles in which both often get velvet

Depending on the size of that Purple Tang I would try the Yellow Tang. My Purple was smaller then the yellow I added and it still kicked the Yellows butt for months. My yellow is much easier going then the Purple
Ive got a purple yellow and blue hippo together. The yellow and purple are best buds!!!

I have a Powder Brown in my reef, along with a Purple and a Hippo. He does really well. They all get along fine. I also have a Clown Tang in my FOWLR with those same fish as well as a Gem Tang. No problems.

A single Acanthurus Tang is a great way to keep algae in check, and they seem to do fine with Zebrasomas.
