Which tank should I get?

[FONT=&quot]I'm getting a 60" long, eurobracing, starphire front tank build by a custom tank builder locally in Dallas, I just can't decide on which overflow/width tank to get. With the space I have available from the wall, I will have to stay as close to 30†width as possblie. Which tank will you pick?[/FONT]

[FONT=&quot]A) [/FONT][FONT=&quot]60x28x24 with external overflow, will be about 34†wide as the external overflow will be 6†wide. Total volume is about 175gal.[/FONT]

[FONT=&quot]B)[/FONT][FONT=&quot] 60x30x24 with glass-holes type overflow, will be about 33†wide, as the plumbing will run directly on the back of the tank. Total volume is about 185gal.[/FONT]

[FONT=&quot]C) [/FONT][FONT=&quot]60x32x24 with regular internal overflow, overflow box will be about 14x6x24, total width will be 32†as overflow is in the tank. Total volume after subtracting the volume of overflow box will be about 190gal.[/FONT]

[FONT=&quot]D) [/FONT][FONT=&quot]60x30x24 with regular internal overflow. Total volume after subtracting the overflow box will be about 175gal.[/FONT]

[FONT=&quot]There is a couch right next to the tank, with the external overflow and glass-holes type overflow, the plumbing will be visible from the couch. Running an internal overflow won’t have any plumbing visible, but will have a hugh overflow box right in the center of the tank.[/FONT]

Hey man! Haven't talked to you in a while. Upgrade sounds great. I think any of these sound great! I, personally, would go with as much width as you can. While 2" doesn't sound like much, it can make a big difference with an aquascape. I don't think you can go wrong with any of this. It really just depends on whether YOU want an internal or external overflow. Mine is internal but I can tell you that, if I had a choice and the room, I would much rather have external. It just opens up soooo much room in the tank. Take a look at SunnyX's tank and mine. Basically the exact same dimensions. However, Sonny has an external overflow and I have internal. The look of his tank is much more pleasing (even without the gorgeous corals and fish) without having to see the overflow. Just my opinion... : )

i think the external overflow would be sweet. whatever option you choose, i'd love to see it in person. i see u around on the dmas/dfwmas forums once in awhile

I cant stand the look of plumbing showing externally. If you don thave the ability to hide that, then I would go with an Internal overlow(s).

Thanks to everyone's feedback, I have decided to go with D) 60x30x24 with regular internal overflow. The tank builder just got back with me, it's $350 more to go to 60x32x24. I don't think it's worth it for only 2" wider. I wish I have the space for 36" width, as it's also $350 more.
