Which water change schedule would be more beneficial ?

Another question that came to mind.....would water chemistry (ca, alk, mag) in salt water be affected by sitting in my barrel for a week. I would make ~20g, use 10 one week and 10 the next week for example. Obviously salinity may change slightly but I could top off a little if necessary.
