White "dots" on Acros

Hey all. Before you yell at me, I do know that pictures would make it MUCH easier to diagnose. Just need a bit of calm (or panic) assurance. I will also describe it exactly as I saw it.

This morning, I was doing my morning pre-work review of tank (with lights out). My Copps Cali acro (so that you have an idea of color) appeared to have small white dots on it. About 15 dots in various locations on the frag. Picture fish Crypto, but on a coral. Smaller than the tip of a pin for certain. NOT bite marks, round ovals, etc.

I observed these dots for a few minutes, with no apparent movement. I attempted to baste them off, and they do not dislodge. They are NOT in clusters. singular dots sproradic.
Any thoughts? Do pods lay eggs on acros? Does something else that would explain this? I will try to get a pic at lights out tonight.

Also, for what its worth, this tank has pretty strong bio-security. Only one, well known vendor with good QT practices is allowed in. However, there is no QT process, and I do not use Bayer to dip. Only Coral RX and reef dip. Thank You.

Were they mesenterial filaments?

Not like I have ever seen. They had no "hairs" to them. Simply dots. I suppose they could be some kind of precursor to these filaments, but have never noticed these on this acro. Also, they did not appear to be associated with polyp locations. Moreso on the flesh.
