white fleshy algae?

Not sure what this white/clear fleshy looking algae growing all over and behind my heater is

How old is your tank? Hard to tell from the picture but kinda looks like pineapple sponges to me.
 
Looks like it, harmless filter feeders, unfortunately self limiting. They show up in new tanks and then disappear once your tank matures.
 
so doesn't seem too bad? i just did a water change and scraped out about 98% of them from the filter and heater and powerhead, so would you say nothing to worry about just try limit the population when needed?

No need to limit the population, they are beneficial filter feeders, unfortunately they will go away on their own. Let them be for now.

Not bad , nothing to worry about. I like them as others said , harmless filter feeders
