White inner digi

If you see some minor white in the inner branch of a sps but the outer branch is fine, so coming from base outwards, do I need to clip the whole branch off? Can the inside heal?

I feel normally its tips which is obviously less upsetting to cut.

hi 1st i would recommend dipping ,kinda looks like poss monti eating nudi damage,can you take full tank shot? any other corals having trouble?when you dip ,swish and look for tiny white kinda fuzzy specs in dip,rinse in separate container of tank water before putting back

I wouldn’t do anything. That’s totally normal for montis to overgrow and shade out themselves. Been happening in my setups for many many years and all corals are still alive. This also occurs in the wild too, witnessed it first hand diving. If you want better growth, you have to trim back whatever is shading the coral.

Looks like its from shading (area where light and flow is minimal) and I would leave it.
DO however inspect for red bugs and /or flatworms
