I have two white Platinum Maroon Clownfish in a 29 gallon. They are both two inches. They hide all day long. They are the only fish in the tank. Can I put other Clowns in there? Normally its no but these are very docile and shy.

A maroon pair needs at LEAST a 55 gallon to themselves, I wouldn’t put tankmates with them in anything below a 125. They’re likely hiding because they are stressed from being in a small environment. Do you have any pictures of the tank?

A full tank shot would help to see what you are dealing with

Of course bigger is better but a 29 gallon is fine for a pair of Maroons. I've had quite a few breeding pairs in 29 gallons.

I would NOT add any other clowns. They might seem docile right now but maroons are one of the most aggressive clowns out there.

I added a small black/white damsel, a small naked clown and a small green chromis. I worried about the naked clown but it is so much smaller I think it will he fine. The Maroons started coming out immediately. I had to do something because it was getting hard to feed them. I also added an Anemone. I have owned pairs of Maroons before. These are definitely more docile so far. If they were larger I'd put them in my 180 but they are too small right now for that tank.
