Looking to find a quiet, white/silver light fixture. The dimensions are 36x18. I wouldn't mind a dark space in the middle, one fixture on either side. Looking to do SPS, so at least 600 par 6" below the water line.

I'm currently running 3 AI Primes and really unhappy. The fans are loud and the light they put out is weak.

The only option I've found is two Hydra 32s, but really hoping for a better option.

+1 on the prime fans being ridiculously loud. I would be interested to hear how loud the hydras are. There are a few passively cooled led’s, the ati straton looks good.

The straton starts looking a lot less appealing when you need to get two of them at 1099 a pop :)

Based on user experience tests with aquaria depths up to 1m / 39.37"/po:
[*]Surface coverage SPS reef: 80x60cm / 31.50 x 23.62"/po
[*]Surface coverage LPS reef: 90x70cm / 35.43 x 27.56"/po
[*]Surface coverage mixed reef: 100x80cm / 39.37 x 31.50"/po
[*]Minimum distance between fixture and water surface: 15cm / 5.91"/po

Of course you'd prefer hot sides and not hot center..

Or start w/ this.. Took a bit to find a 36" in white one though.

Now 2 gen5's at the outside inside..the color should be masked by the t5 frame..but you still have fans..
