I have this white sponge looking stuff around one of my Zoa frags that's spreading around a few now, I have not tried taking it down since I want to know what it is first. Can someone ID for me to see if its good or bad.

That stuff type of sponge is terrible in my opinion. I had some come in on a monti and it has somehow spread to a lot of other places. One thing I found that helps is some tank water mixed with about 20-30% hydrogen peroxide. Let it sit for a few minutes and bubble then take it out and scrape as much as you can off manually and do it again.

It is a harmless sponge but I wouldn't allow it to cover my corals :)

I'm not trying for it to cover it I want to know how to take it down but at the same time I don't know how to get rid of it and I don't want to hurt my polyps, I moved my frags around last night and I'm actually going to make another frag stand and get rid of that crap... Hoedown I get rid of it completely?

Tweezers or your hand. Also fresh water dips.

Thank you josh I read mixed reviews about peroxide, I will definitely try to take it out manually with out any type of dosing. I read your magazine interview and congrats. I have a 250g that I'm working on that will be z n p dominant. :)
