This spot appeared today on my tang, what is it, I don't think it is ich, but I could be wrong. the tang is acting a little strange, I mean for the most part he does his thing eating algae and everything else he finds floating in the water, but occasionally it looks like he's fighting the glass maybe just 5 minutes out of the hour.

water parameters are:

SG 1.026
ammonia 0
Nitrites 0
nitrates 10
phosphates 0
PH 8.1
alkalinity 10° dKH
calcium 460
Mg 1260
Temp 79°

any help would be nice

He may have rubbed up against the rock and scraped himself. If not it could be a bacterial infection or a parasite. Hope he gets better.

I can't really tell from the pic. I would feed the tang foods that are soaked alternately in selcon and fresh garlic juice (from a a freshly mashed garlic clove) to help boost its immune system.

hmm, tried that like you suggested and this morning the bump looks like it is going away. It isn't as raised and it's not as white, not sure if it was the garlic for sure, but I will do this for a few more days. thanks
