Hey I noticed today that my gem tang has a white spot on its left side of its mouth. I’m sure if it’s a disease or maybe if it just damaged its mouth on the rocks from my hanger than I bought the seaweed on. Any information would be appreciated. I also haven’t seen an aggression towards this tang.

Looks like an injury to me. My 3 Tangs are getting bumps, minor stings, etc. all the time. They squabble quite a bit as Tangs seem to do.

This is damage either from impact or cleaning algae off surfaces.
Is fish still eating? If so , give it brine shrimp which is easily inhaled . If getting worse, place fish in separate tank and treat with Seachem Neoplex

Ya he is still eating really good. And still picking at rocks. But I continue to monitor and then ya maybe I will treat him
