Hello,

For several months now I have noticed that there are white strings almost worm like that are growing from the bottom of my blastomussa frag. They are growing out from it and the surrounding rock work. I have tried to research but cannot come up with a definitive answer to what it is. Assuming it is some kind filter feeder. Don’t think it is part of the blasto?

Any ideas? Doesn’t seem to be affecting the blastomussa at all.

Nah, spikey and don’t move at all even in the flow.

I think it is some sort of tube worm growing out from under the blasto. or feather duster but I don’t see any feather heads.
Likely tube worms or sponges.
Beautiful blasto btw :)

The white string things are starting to grow a lot faster. They a string like and flex when touched with fingers. Don’t seem to move much in the water movement. See updated photo of my blasto. Not sure if these killed on the of the polyps or some other unknown.

Anyone ID this for me please
