I was looking at that so called "weeping willow" One thing I notice is as babys the polyps look crazy long but as they grow big they look incredibly shorter in comparison! Aqua corals shows the mothers and the the tanks they are in and you can see what they will grow out to look like! Funny thing is no pic of mother of the weeping willow! Jake has been looking for his buddy Bahama llama for many years and has yet to find one! I dont get why Jake dosnt just give him a frag of his true weeping willow Wish I knew Jake...LOLFor those who are interested, this is what they have at AquaCorals right now:
AquaCoral Toadstool Leathers
Which is the one in the center? I want one! Got any frags? I love the one dead center! Who is that from? It looks to have longest polyps!Tank lights are off right now. This photo is a couple of months old. The Aquacorals weeping willow is on the left, is 3 years old, and started off the size of a golf ball. The Marinefarmers weeping willow is on the right, is around 1.5 years old, and started off the size of a marble.
This photo doesn’t show the long polyps because it isn’t recent, but there is a no name, twin leather directly to the left of the Marinefarmers ww that is tan and just recently developed very long polyps. I picked up the no name, twin leather from the bargain frag tank at OSA for less than $15… I’ll take a new photo tomorrow afternoon after the tank lights have been on.
Are these in the pic of your tank? I dont see them. Which is the one from aquacorals? I really want to know where you got the crazy long polyp one in center of ur tank? I want one! LOL
No name coral on the left
Marinefarmers ww on the right
No name coral
I even cleaned the glass for you guys. Lol.
The full tank photo is an older photo. Those are in the photo but they hadn’t developed long polyps at the time. They’re slightly above and to the left of the neon green cabbage on the right hand side. Or, just to the right of one the most best kept secrets for corals with flowing, long polyps. Are these in the pic of your tank? I dont see them. Which is the one from aquacorals? I really want to know where you got the crazy long polyp one in center of ur tank? I want one! LOL
The ww from Aquacorals is not a weeping willow. It’s a long polp, but not a ww. The coral above the left arrow in my photo is from Penny (Aquacorals). The coral above the right arrow is from Pablo (Marinefarmers).Anyone on here selling frags of a very long polyp toadstool? Dosnt have to be a weeping willow! There was a lady on ebay that I got one form that had at least 3 inch polyps. It didn't survive my crash and havt been able to find her since. I am considering the one from aquacorals!
They should be pretty long. I'd say this would be a perfect example of one.So here's a hard one to answer, what size do these WW need to be before you know if you have a true WW or just a long tentacle? I'm seeing people sell frags and show pictures of the mother but these frags and younglings could just be long tentacle.
This "young" one I picked up from a friend that claimed is a WW. Im perfectly happy if it's is or isn't. It was a great deal
These pics are after it was in my tank for 3 hours
Here is what we sell, it was imported from overseas as a weeping willow last year, and I think is the closest thing I have seen. We are out of stock right now, waiting for it to grow out
