I go dark. I worry that moonlight interferes with nighttime invert activity. I like my sandbed being spotless every morning.

So I did a little test I’ve been running with moonlights at night at 1% intensity, last night changed them to complete blackout no lights when they run for the programmed 8 hours and I got better polyp extension at night for feeding which I never got much of that with moon lights and they looked a lot bigger during the day time.

Moonlight only on occasionally. I used to set it to lunar cycle but fish were fighting. Now I use them just to see what's going on after a new inhabitant was added.

Yes I run a set of Apex moon lights on a lunar cycle.
