Who has scuba certification!?!?!

PADI open water 1990. AOW 1992. Cavern 1998. somewhere around 2000 dives with more than half in local quarries.

By far one of the very best things I ever did.

Yeah it was on my “must do in 2021” plan….I’m pretty excited about it!

Got my PADI open water in ‘18 for my 50th birthday trip to Fiji.
Got my AOW in and Nitrox cert. in ‘19.

Being land locked in the Texas panhandle I don’t get to dive much - couple of times a year if I’m lucky. So far I have 55-60 dives - Fiji, Cozumel and Florida.
Can’t wait for more - I’m hooked.

I am also landlocked in PA, but I'm lucky in that about 30 min from my house is an old quarry that is free to dive in and there's lots of "STUFF" down there. Can't wait to get some salt dives in though!

I see the quarry dives as excellent practice for the warm salty variety. Being able to dive without the drysuit and most of the lead makes for very enjoyable dives.

I'm just getting into it, obviously the winter has cut me off, but I'm excited to get back out there. I'm trying to find a good "used" rig right now.

I got my open water certification through PADI in 1992. Being in the Navy, I was fortunate to dive some of the most picturesque locations in the world. Since I've retired the dive trips have become fewer and farther between, but I still manage to get a dive in here and there. It's been one of the best decisions I've ever made, and I have memories of sights that are really indescribable to anyone who hasn't had the opportunity to witness the underwater world for themselves.

Open Water in 2012, AOW in 2013. Just got back from 2 weeks diving in Cozumel. Had a fantastic time. Moray 1 (1 of 1).jpg Purple Condy 1 (1 of 1).jpg French angel (1 of 1).jpg Queen Trigger (1 of 1).jpg Banded Butterfly fish (1 of 1).jpg Pudding wife wrasse-transitioning (1 of 1).jpg
