I've never tried it but I read somewhere if you touch them with an icecube that they will let go. Seems like it would be a wicked shock to them though. If he's happy in the dark then it may well move back there or somewhere else where you cant see it.

Those are sweet fellas. Sweet prop vid Kraylin.
Im on the hunt for one just havent found the right one yet, unfortanatley im too late. LOL

how do you care for these maxi mini carpet anemones i saw extreme corals have some really nice ones but whats the trade-off were talking about since im not familiar with them :)

I absolutely cannot find the minis locally (not the maxis). If someone could point me in the right direction, it would be much appreciated.

Here is mine. It's not as pretty as the others I've seen on here. It's a maxi mini and is about 2 1/2 inches. My first one and I love this thing. Looking for others.

That's just what mine looked before I moved it a little closer to the light and started feeding.

I love these things. If any of you guys have extras for sale pm me and let me know what you have.

Glad you gve me that advice on how to release the nem from the rock with an ice cube, last week sat my mini got ahold of my mandarin and i grabed a popcicle and it release the fish in a min. the fish is fine and the nem is now on time out in the refuge.

Looking at all the Mini or Maxi 'nems ... I do have a question in regards to Rock Anemone and if anyone here has ever had any experience with keeping this guys ... any recommendations would be awesome.

It says that they usually do not move around and yesterday I got one stuck unto a clam shell and this morning ... it had moved itself to the underside of a rock in my refugium. I'm thinking of adding it to my display if it doesn't move too much as to hide itself in some crevices and disappear after that ... :squigglemouth:

Here's a pic from the LFS (I picked the foreground 'nem with Pink, Red tips and Olive Green center) ...

I have a question. Do all maxi minis have a green rim? The one in the pict above doesnt and Ive seen 1 other that didnt and wondered if it was truly a maxi mini.

Nope, not all maxis have green rims. Some are solid colors.
If anybody wants maxis, I have a few to get rid of. PM me! :)
