I've been using 4 sol blues over my tank (and a 5th over a frag tank) for 4 years now with 2 ati purple plus t5. as I'm completely satisfied with this, I'm going to start replacing the pucks with new LEDs over the next few months.

I'm wondering who else is still using these lights and if you are going to keep them or are thinking about moving to something else ?

I have them. Nope not going to change anytime soon. I am questioning the amount of blue in them but that may also be my mix. Im dead even on all channels.

You ever think of getting one of the Spectrometers I have? It's not going to generate a hi-res spectrograph, but it's cheap and it will be better than guessing. ;)

(If you have a spare CD you don't mind sacrificing to use as a diffraction surface, a bad CD-R maybe, you can DIY one pretty easily too...it will only be lacking the graduated scale.)

For better or worse, I don't have too many different reef lights to compare with mine....you ever take photos through yours?

Hm...this feels like it should be a new thread now. ;)

Yeah they are a bit over blue. that's why I use the ATI purple plus it seems to pick up what the sols are missing.
