Hello,

last week I bought a small colony of yellow zoas, all was fine and I’ve been moving it around the tank to find a good spot for it.

I’ve noticed that last three days it’s not opened at all. I have other zoas that look fine.

it’s the same with my gsp they haven’t opened since I bought them last week.

water parameters:
No3: 5.1
Po4: 0.17
Ca: 460
Mg: 1440
Dkh: 8.3
Ph:8.3

I’ve attached photos for reference

If you’ve been moving it around because it’s new then that may be why. Corals also may close up for extended periods and be completely fine.

Try using a turkey baster to gently blow off anything in between the polyps. Zoas don't like detritus around their base.

Mine did the same. Bought 2 about 3 days apart one stays open all the time the other is closed majority of the time. Also I had a ton of hair algea I got an emerald crab within about 24 hrs it was almost completely gone
