I disagree with this. "True" honey is a very strong antiseptic and contains no bacteria or water. That is only in processed honey, which is not real honey.

I’m not going to debate science with you since I have learned that is not fruitful, but to say true honey contains no water is beyond the pale. Of course it does. Look it up yourself.

It is the one food product that never spoils, which is quite unique!

Thanks. Yes, I am aware of both the medical and other properties of honey. I have used medi honey in tests at a pharma job, and have raised bees myself. :)

Question for this that don’t use skinner sir mechanical filtration. Do you run carbon media? I’ve got no PS, no mechanical, I don’t clean the dump or sand bed and everything looks and smells great. Just wondering if Carbon is something I should keep using. I’ve got CemiPure in now.

Good, I also don't want to debate it. But real honey doesn't have enough water to support bacteria. It's just a small amount. But what do I know. I am going to eat some now. 😎

Randy, you are correct. Honey can have 20% water in it. When I'm wrong, I'm wrong.

The antibacterial property of honey is derived from its high sugar content and low moisture content, along with its acidic properties of gluconic acid and antiseptic properties of its H2O2.
