It might be a stupid question. But my redsea aro allow me to see how many times it ran. And i can see it ran once every hour. Sometimes it runs twice hourly. My basement is unheated so it hits on 25%-30% humidity. And 59-61F temp. Its a 150G is that normal? Salinity still 1.026 as of this morning
25-30 humidity is quite low, high evap doesnt surprise me. My 90 gallon systems lose ~1 gallon per day generally, more if the HVAC is drying the air out more than usual
if 59-61F, you might be evaporating more because your heaters are trying to adjust/keep the temp at whatever temp you have it set to. outside of this, i'm not sure what could cause more evap for your tank as the bigger tanks tend to evap less(but require more top off) because of the higher water volume.
In my 210 in my living room I can go through 5 gallons of water in as little as 2 days in the winter.
Before I got this system everyone complained about static electricity all winter. My reef has saved me the expense of adding a humidifier to my hvac system lol
