why is my apex DOS auto-water change inconsistent?

my auto-water change via apex DOS is setup to swap out one gallon a day. this works out to individual "doses" of 29.1 mL every few minutes.

the "add" doser works as expected, with each dose lasting a couple of minutes and transferring 29.1 mL

but the "remove" doser has odd behavior. instead of always transferring the full 29.1 mL, it will do a portion of it and then pause. a few minutes later it will kick back on and continue until it completes the full dose. while it is paused, the small light near the doser pump turns red.

is this normal behavior? what can i do so that all the water is added and removed simultaneously?

Can you post your Schedule for the DOS head in question?

it is set from 00:00-23:59 for the amount of 3,785.4 mL.

If the DOS is getting a red status light, this can indicate a hardware issue with the DOS.
