Why won’t my apex temp probe calibrate?

My temperature reading has been showing 121 degrees Fahrenheit for at least a year. When I go to calibrate it the temp just goes right back to 121. I have an inkbird running the heater but it’d be nice to have this back on track to run a fan. Should I just buy a new one ? (2016 apex purchased in 2017) Thanks!

Thanks, I kinda figured it might be. Calibrated 4-5 times and just keeps going to 121. Lol

I’ll tell you when I finally get mine to calibrate and... you know... stay there. I got it to fully calibrate once and 2 hours later it was reading zero. That was right out of the box new.... disappointing!

Mine did something similar despite the temperature being around 25c, it wouldnt calibrate anywhere near that, and kept defaulting to 36c

I opened a ticket with Neptune and they basically said it needed to be replaced, I think it was around 3 1/2 years old

Salt water got inside the probe, that’s why it’s reading at maximum value.

Could someone share how to calibrate the temp probe? I’m assuming this is the classic version Apex. And I thought only the newer WiFi version one is able to calibrate the temp probe, not the classic version one. Thanks.

I have the 2016 apex. I think it’s the same in fusion you just click on the settings dongle on the Upper left side of the home page and it opens all the other little buttons. Then you click the thermometer icon. Then scroll down and click on temp probe and it’ll be at the bottom of the next screen.

Thanks! Will try it later today.
