I had just electric baseboard heating when I moved into my house in 2009. In northern NJ it gets polar bear cold and the baseboards couldn’t keep up on full blast and I was paying and arm and a leg to keep them going. Finally in 2015 i installed a pellet stove! Game changer! I was able to install it myself so saved on that and my house is so warm i wear shorts all year round inside!

Yes on the pellet stove. Same here 70 degrees.

move to Florida and your electric bill wont be big (cheaper in winter actually) and if you got tank as big as mine (500g) you don't need heaters also. And my wife is happy and not cold all the time! win win win

I’m not sure about that! Think there are more than a few wives on R2R.

Also, At some point my wife is going to want to know why I spend so much time on R2R. Probably have to start another thread like this one and ask my Reefer friends for help answering! I’m going to have lots of explaining to do…

That was not the intention. I thought it was funny. I’m a woman myself, with menopause, and I have hot flashes and I’m so hot most of the time !
