I have the same tank and love mine (besides the algae issues I caused). Love seeing what others do with theirs. That aquascape is amazing.

She loves her tank too. But I suspect this tank will be replaced soon with a bigger one sooner than I anticipated.

She did the aquascape all by herself too.

I have a 90g and 50g tied together with 1 sump. Thats my tank, and we upgraded a 36g to the 60g. She likes the foot print and on the tank but she's gonna need another light as she is slowly going SPS. LOL

She's turned into a monster.

We have a xr30 gen3 on it, so I just picked up another gen 3. They are non pros and how we currently have the light mounted its no lighting up the while tank.

Wanted to give an update

We bought a house! Yay
We have to move all our tanks! Boo

So yesterday was the 60g turn to get relocated and it turned out exceptionally well even though temp did drop to mid 60 according to the Apex Temp reading once the system came back online.

Some updates on the tank.
The fairy Wrasse went walk about and haven't seen it in a while. We lost some Acros after the move and we have a couple that started loosing tissue at the tips, but we have left them in the tank and seeing if they will recover on their own. Still dosing ESV, and will start to dose Acropower in the next week or so as I am in the no water change camp.

We did add some more corals to the tank and also got a ORA maxima clam the other day and they have been doing great so far.

ORA Maxima Calm - This is one of the inhabitants my Wife wanted from the beginning, and we thought it was time for it.

We went on Saturday to Reef Dreams frag swap that was in Charleston, SC and we picked up some frags. Lets hope they do fine in the misses tank.

While we were on our trip to Florida for Spring break I started doing some reading on the DRS method created by @glennf in Holland and was very intrigued about how he has ran his tank without doing any major water changes since he started up his tank back in 2004-2005. Luckily enough while trying to source the product here in the states i saw that @Deltec USA was a distributor of his products, especially the DRSEZ products. So we called up Deltec to see if indeed they sold the product, verify if they had it in stock, and to talk to their resident DRS guru Chris and ask questions in regards to the method and what other tips and tricks he could provide while transitioning to this method.

And I had to say that it was a moment to remember when we walked into the office and was meet with a 1700g tank running the DRSEZ method and progress of the tanks 1 year journey. Not only did the conversation with Chris sold me on the method, but knowing that on a tank that big, the EZ method was working just fine with some deviations as they do run a calcium reactor, and a filter roller. But man was that a pretty tank and a massive setup. So we walked out with a EZ kit and a Kamoer F4 Pro dosing unit.

The goal is to try and get the tank switched over this weekend and start running the EZ method, but I needed to make some adjustments to the tank before i switched it.

We did 1 20% water change on April 12th after discovering a couple of things.

Neptune DOS ALK pump continually syphons back so much that when its time to pump in ALK, it was not dosing anything at al. This brough my ALK down to around 6.7 DKH.

CAL was dosing fine, but it had raised it up to 490, which is not bad but with such low ALK in the tank I knew it wasn't making anything better.

MAG was at 1130 - Again not too bad, but not helping the tank out.

Performed ALK test today, and tank was at 7.3 - Added 25ml of ESV to the tank to try and bring it up to 8DKH and will be testing later in the afternoon to see where the tank is sitting.

NO3 was at 25 ppm and PO4 was out of range when using the Hanna ULR. Will check these numbers again when I test alk to see if it made a dent at all.

I DYI'ed the power filter out of a Sicce .5 pump i had laying around and cemented a 3/4 PVC pip with cap to it. Drilled out some holes on the pipe then wrapped it in filter floss and placed it in the sump and its been running for about 4 days now and just by looking at the floss, you can see that it is doing its intended job as a water polisher. Once I get some magnets that will hold the pump well to the glass ill be relocating it to the DT as that is the recommended way of running the PF.

This is going to be a fun journey/experiment using the product as there is no guess work. And if you have any major issues/problems/questions You can reach out to the master himself @glennf or to his many padawans out there like Chris from @Deltec USA to ask for advice/help

Ill post some pics later of the 1700g tank running DRSEZ and the power filter as I will need to replace the floss.
