Hi Guys so on the 4/4/15 i started the Tank with saltwater,everything seems to be working fine,parameters are changing for the good,more programming for the Apex and settings and continuing to do some works on the cabinetry and tidyness of the system,now waiting some time for the steup to be more mature and waiting for the first signs of life,i am posting a Youtube video of the Tank rightnow pls feel free to watch and comment

Hello guys after a nice afternoon today done some clean up to the tank,my god Diatom explosion but for the good as checked parameters they are quite good and a constant readings,done even some water testing have to say Zeovit system is working wonders till now,was a little worried for a strange type of algae it is not absolutely hair algae more like feathers but then when touched it just disntegrates so i notived it is diatoms infact as there is almost everywhere the water touches,plus as checked parametres are these

Skimming quite good,setting still up Apex quite some different options and the guys are wonders even the Guy at ReefTRonics Russ he does a great job with the server,well for know all is good posting some pics sorry for the quality but took them with mu phone hope you enjoy pls comment and Feedback

Nice to see.
The hair alge is good for helping remove the TOC and COD from water.
When they become white, means toc and DOC absorbed, water parameter will be better than before.

so expecting to see the residence...

Some more photos guys of my first Happy residents I say happy cause I introduced a Fire shrimp (Firaga) and a Banded Cleaner shrimp(Bando) name in brackets are names my son gave them and yesterday I fed them frozen shrimp which actually they feed from my hands just after a day being introduced and an assortment of green zoas plud added a few more live rocks to the sump, parameters are steady , like Biolites mentioned and thanks Biolites for the advice the green algae I mentioned is turning white and distegrating well for now all is good all happy

So guys still awake doing some research,all is well parameters are fantastic Apex working wonders,my small pieces of zoas doing good,cleaning crew also,my only concern is that hair algae like thing or bacteria strands,from the pics they might seem like hair but guys for sure it is not hair as there are like barely visible strands like of shimmering like bacteria or something never seen this in a tank cycle i dont know i am dosing Zeovit right now as for water parameters they are wonders,shrimps happy and even the beadlet anemone quite happy and expanding,plus this ;ast two days in the morning when lights turn on there is a huge like cloud going around then it clears during the day with the flow and light any ideassssss guys or help and advice pls maybe a past experience pls

So hello guys some updates the tank has now exactly 3 months been watching slowly couple of changes,water parameters are all in the desired Target,still some hair algae from the cycling Progress and adding live stock lightly till now live stock is as this

1 x Kole Tang
1 x Powder Blue Tang
1 x False Dottyback
1 x Golden Dottyback
1 x Bluthroat Trigger

All fish going around quite well and great friends with the shrimps,eating and going around,zoas doing also good and multiplying,some calcareous algae also showing and many copepods in the tank,all is well for now just some hair left

Hi guys more time passing by and the tank is still maturing every couple of days i notice new life growing,have to say water is in excellent condition and PATIENCE proves really good,on a bad side this week in Malta the temperature is a sweltering 40 degree so imagine the heat we are having causeing two powercuts as the electrical demand to rise up,as here it is a small island and we got only 1 Powerstation,it just goes off just for an hour or so but still it is bad,this has caused my APEX to go haywire and caused me a corrupted firmware,but with the help from NEPTUNE SUPPORT which i have to say exceptional service especially to a tech guy from Neptune called Luis who fixed the problem up,nothing bad to the tank happened fortunately enough ,parameters are stable and doing good,just some more little hair algae,i am not fiddling with it just leave it be and disintegrate slowly and with the help of the CUC and tangs there are only tufts here and there,tank full of nightlife as it is a wonder having my little torch at night and inspect the tank,many copepods showing and amphipods also,fish eating like pigs a variety of foods and aquascaping beginning to take life and encrust with calcareous algae,still tank is young just over 3 months,posting some pics i took yesterday well hope you like the process as it goes for now thats it,pls comment or ask questions eager to answer

So Guys some more updates after a couple of weeks,tank going perfectly well and water parameters are going super good,stocking up the tank very slowly and nowadays here in Malta it is a very hot summer and shops dont stock to much,so in the meantime my water is cooking really nice ,i can notice an invasion of copepods and amphipods and sponges and many critters whicg shows me the water quality is quite good untill now and hopefully for the future,also Zoas and the few pieces i got of coral are doing very nice and growing up preety fast,added Elegance coral,Red Finger Coral and Goniopora which are doing quite fine also,will upload some pics also and a video you can enjoy also on my You tube Channel hope you enjoy

Well guys as promised i am sending link on youtube of the 5th month of the Tank and some info of the current inverts and corals,the hair algae explosion is gone finally,never saw an invasion like this in any previous tank i got,now it is all gone just debris thats left of it on rocks,water chemistry is perfect just waiting to continue stocking slowly,so the link is this

Well guys decided to be more wire friendly,done a small unit for my Apex and my electrics, cause to much wires you know Reef keeping tooo many Black wires,posting some pics more to come after i finish installation.

Hi guys hope you are all fine,continued some more work on the Tank,wirings and enclosure almost ready,tidying up some wires takes quite some time and thinking but will finish in a matter of next couple of days,Tank has been running for almost 6 months now,by this time i started changing some minor things that could have been done better like in this case the wireing, as of the tank all parameters are all constant and inhabitants quite happy
