Hey all I was wondering if there are any laws, permits, and regulations on taking certain fish/coral from the wild. I've dived in certain places where you cant take anything, but all the wild caught fish have to be coming from somewhere. As a scuba diver I see plenty of fish/coral that is highly sought after in the reefing community. Anyone have experience/knowledge on this?

check laws and regs where you are at,i believe hook and line is fair game ,check ,heavy fines

Yep it all depends on what country you are in.
Most of them have no problems with fish, so long as your not getting them from a sanctuary. Corals on the other hand are often banned in most places.

IF YOU HAD TO OPERATE EVERYTHING ELSE MANUALLY, WHICH AUTOMATED SYSTEM WOULD YOU KEEP?
