I bought this favia frag online for $120 and when it came it was just the plug. No skeleton at all. I feel like it won’t survive ... thought?

I don’t think polyp bail out is possible with favias. There just isn’t enough tissues. Are you sure there isn’t a tiny bit of skeleton on the underside?
It’s all just encrusted plug. No skeleton. Seems insane I spent so much on a piece like this... the store said it would absolutely grow

Can you post a pic? I have a favia I purchased with no visible skeleton. Just the flesh on a plug, and it's doing fine a year later.
